CRUISER’S CLUB MEETING 2002

REPORTS :
President’s Report By Manish :
-History of the Club.
-Last year was special. We finally qualified for the B division. We had good consistency in the players available for the games and in performance. In 2001 we also had a few good new members in the club.
-We have never had any penalties and our disciplinary record has always been very good and we need to be careful in the future as well.
-We have had 79 members through the years who have represented Cruisers.
-Cricket should not be the only activity for the club members among themselves.
-Getting registered as a non profit organization. This will be useful for getting sponsorship.
Treasurer’s Report by Bala :
Club expenditure entirely depends on Membership Fees. Amount of money we spend on ground etc. keeps on increasing.
Getting Lunch sponsorship from someplace will be useful.
Possibly get an account for the Club. We need to be registered as an organization for this.
Captain’s Report By Sudip :
-Terrific year for the team. We did well in the knockout games.
-We had a very strong team. And a few players did not get a chance. There were initial thoughts of having 2 teams for the club.
-Sandeep and Mohit with the bat, Himal and Rajesh with the ball and Anuj behind the wickets and with the bat were some of the good performance of the team.
-AD’s innings in the game against Indus.
-We should have got more individual awards. Shows that teamwork was the main reason
for the success of the team.
-We need to improve our catching.
Webmaster’s Report By Mohit :
-We won 14 matches and have only 7 match reports.
-Sachin has expressed interest in helping out as well.
-Focus on the content and make it presentable at the same time.
-Existing emblem can be improved upon. Kinnar will be working on it.
Ground committee report by Manish :
-2004 is the last year we can have 3 teams on 1 ground. We need to start looking for a new ground right now.
-Disadvantages with the current ground are that we cannot come up with a second team and there is no storage for out kit and other equipment and we need to check schedule for our social games.
NCCA Rep. Report by Manish :
-We need a good NCCA representative. Manish has been doing this job in earlier years.
-One thing that NCCA rep. will have to look into is that NCCA is proposing a registration fee per head from all the teams.
-There are only 3 balls from this year, which can be used for the Games.
Umpiring Committee report by Vikas :
-We need everyone to do his respective share of Umpiring.
-There should be some kind of penalty for those who don’t do their assignments.

Membership Fee Structure :
Up to 4 games 75 $. 175 for more than 4 games.
Club Strength :
No upper limit for this.
Nets :
We need poles for the Nets. Bharat is going to get it.

AD, Amit, Shiv and Navin.
Conclusion :
We have reached the B Div. Go ! Cruisers.
